Conducting Intern
Talitha McCall

Talitha grew up in a small farming community north of Tri-Cities and now lives in Pasco with her husband. Her love of music began when she started taking piano lessons as a child. Over the years she delved into singing, teaching herself to sing parts and harmonize, while continuing to focus on classical piano. Her passion for vocal music blossomed in 2010 when she joined the concert choir while taking classes at Columbia Basin College. She went on to audition into the DeserTones Chamber Choir as well as the acclaimed vocal jazz ensemble FreeForm. During her time in these groups she participated in intense rehearsals, led sectionals, and performed frequently, including tours and competitions in WA as well as out of state. Inspired by a combined performance in 2013 involving CBC and the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers, Talitha later auditioned and has been singing with MCM since fall 2014, while continuing to participate as a community member in the CBC choirs. A few opportunities to conduct for the CBC choir during her time as a student led to a desire to learn more. In 2017 Talitha was offered the position of Assistant Conductor for the Columbia Basin College Concert Choir, and enthusiastically took that chance to continue exploring this side of the choral music experience. She is excited to keep learning and challenge herself in a more advanced setting with the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers.
