Youth Choir Conducting Intern
Laurie Evans

Laurie Evans is a Tri-Cities native and has been involved in music her whole life. She began her musical journey singing in choir at her elementary school as well as singing with the Consort Columbia Children's Choir. She is very excited that the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers (previously Consort Columbia) has a children's choir again. Laurie's love of music continued and after receiving her AA from Columbia Basin College she attended Central Washington University. While at Central she sang in the Women's Choir, Chamber Choir, as well as the top vocal jazz ensemble VJ1. In 2014 Laurie received her bachelors of music education in choral music from Central. After moving back to the Tri-Cities, Laurie began teaching elementary music in the Pasco School District. Laurie is currently an elementary music teacher in the Kennewick School District. This year she will be starting her 3rd year teaching elementary music and choir at Sage Crest Elementary as well as teaching choir before school at Highlands Middle School. Laurie strives to be a life-long learner and is excited to continue this journey by joining the Youth Choir team.
