Noche de Paz: A Concert of Lessons and Carols

MCM's annual concert celebrating the music of Latin America features the Mastersingers Youth (MY) Choirs and the MCM Chamber Choir, in a program that will combine elements of two popular holiday observances, the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols from England and Las Posadas from Mexico.

In a concert celebrating the centennial of women's suffrage in the US, the MCM Treble choir will be joined by the Rolling Hills Chorus of Sweet Adelines International, directed by Lucy Heinkel. Our concert partner is the League of Women Voters of Benton & Franklin Counties.


With program support provided by the Washington State Women's Commission and the Washington State Historical Society through the Votes for Women Centennial Grant program.

Featuring Benjamin Britten's adaptation of Henry Purcell's opera "Dido and Aeneas," directed by Ellicia Mertens Elliott, with chamber choir, string orchestra and guest artist soloists. The program includes additional choral works by Purcell and a nod to Beethoven's 250th anniversary.
